This guide will go through the different options for uploading your vouchers to Shine, so you can quickly and easily do your bookkeeping based on the voucher.&nbsp;<hr><h2>&nbsp;</h2><h2>General Practices</h2>In Shine, all your uploaded vouchers are collected in Shine’s voucher folder and when you fill out a voucher, the invoice module will scan it and automatically enter the amount, supplier and the invoice date.Afterwards, all you need to do is select the expense category and VAT rate. To do this, you can use the bookkeeping hero, which will suggest which expense account to choose and which VAT rate to include on your invoice.&nbsp;<hr><h2>&nbsp;</h2><h2>Upload attachments from your computer</h2><h3 style="margin-left:40px;">1. Have a detailed look into the process to manage your bills easily if you need to review, credit or cancel them.&nbsp;<hr><h3>&nbsp;</h3><h3>General practices</h3>In accounting, it is normally impossible to delete booked figures and vouchers. Therefore, once you have approved an invoice, you cannot delete it.This would result in gaps in voucher numbers and other inappropriate behavior. In other words, the table catches when you post. This will automatically create a cancellation voucher to offset the original voucher and the bill will be set to Cancelled status.

Attaching a receipt to a transaction is easy with Shine. Just follow this guideline to proceed.&nbsp;<hr><h3>&nbsp;</h3><h2>General practices</h2>It may happen that you have just posted an entry or transaction without attaching the receipt. In this article, we will show you how to book a bank fee in Shine.&nbsp;<hr><h3>&nbsp;</h3><h2>General practices</h2>Bank fees can occur, for example, when sending payments abroad, as payment for having a business account or as payment fees for services.These fees are exempt from VAT and should therefore be recognized without VAT. Fees will typically be booked in a fees account under financial expenses.&nbsp;<hr><h3>&nbsp;</h3><h2>Post bank fees in Shine</h2><ul><li>Select Accounting &gt; Daybook</li><li>Select the account for Fees</li><li>Select the VAT rate VAT-free purchase (0%) or just leave it as "VAT"</li><li>Write the amount under debit</li><li>Set your bank account as counter account</li><li>Click on Approve all</li></ul>You have now recognized a fee paid on your bank account.&nbsp;<hr><h3>&nbsp;</h3><h2>VAT rules for fees</h2>Many businesses have experienced having to pay fees for having a bank account or as part of having a payment solution. Bank fees are typically quarterly, while payment solutions can take a percentage of your sales or use flat fees per transaction.

Bank fees, payment fees or fees from payment solutions are VAT-free, which means you can't deduct VAT on the fees.
