In Shine, you can customise your quote number if needed.
After signing up with Shine, the quote number for your first quote is automatically set to 1. Each new estimate then receives the next consecutive number (2, 3, 4, and so on).
Change your quote number
You can adjust the quote number directly in the quote editor:
- Open a new quote or an existing draft
- Enter the desired number in the Quote number field
Please note:
- Only numbers are supported (for example 1001 or 202401)
- Letters or special characters are not allowed
- The quote number cannot start with 0 (for example 001)
If you enter a new quote number and save the estimate as a draft, the new numbering sequence will not be applied yet. The new sequence will only continue automatically once the quote is finalised with the updated number.
Good to know
- You can start with a specific quote number, for example at the beginning of a new year (such as 202601 for the first quote of the year).
- When converting a quote into an invoice, the quote number is not transferred. The invoice will instead receive the next invoice number based on your invoice numbering settings.
